About Brumasole Farm

Brumasole Farm developed from a 20+ year friendship and a love affair with “The County” (Prince Edward County).

All of the 5 owners had been touched by the charm of the area, and had a similar passion for the century farms in the area.

Will Tammel, a native of the county, born and raised in Bloomfield, returned from Toronto with his wife Joanne to settle on Shannon Road, to raise their family and renovate a century home.

Joanne’s mother and father Doreen and Charles Britton, followed a few years later, after they had retired from their careers in Toronto, to also renovate a century home.

Mike and Sandy Lamb along with their small children would make the annual trek from North of Toronto, to visit with the Tammels, enjoying time spent relaxing at the beach and sightseeing tours by their hosts. They fell in love with the area and after each visit became more and more convinced that they wanted to own a piece of paradise in the county. And, as a note, they also had renovated a century home North of Toronto!

As fate would have it a gorgeous farm property, close to Cherry Valley and Milford, was spotted and intrigued the partners. The property was not only beautiful but steeped in history. Brumasole farm was available for purchase and they became the proud owners of a “diamond in the rough” as it was heard described. All agreed that it would someday be a perfect vacation rental property..

Quickly the talented partners, which include a cabinetmaker and a contractor among other skills, began the task of lovingly restoring the farmhouse. After 1-1/2 years Brumasole Farm has been brought back to its former splendour and is now available for your rental.

The home offers a fully equipped, large eat-in gourmet kitchen with a centre island plan; 5 beautifully appointed bedrooms, provided with linens; two bright and clean bathrooms (large bath towels to be supplied by renters); as well as a large family living room with a TV & DVD included. Also, there is a large dining room adjacent to the kitchen with a dining table to seat 10 people for casual dinners, or perhaps even a week long game of monopoly! The ceiling of both the living room and dining room should be noted for their lovely tin design. Also, a washer and dryer are available for your convenience.
Every room of the house offers a different yet spectacular view of surrounding pastures. To view the sunset from the window seat in the kitchen is breathtaking. In fact, one may have a hard time deciding where to choose to do your relaxing!

Out of doors are numerous shade trees, with patio chairs provided, to sip your favourite libation. For “al fresco” dining, a huge picnic table and BBQ (with one full tank) are available. Enjoy a evening bonfire in the fire pit. A horseshoe pit and badminton set are also available for your recreational fun. If you are a cycling enthusiast do not forget to bring your bicycle as the area offers many very well known scenic cycle tours.

We hope that you can join us at Brumasole Farm; it will be an experience you won’t soon forget. We are certain you will fall for the area just as we had so many years ago. Please call or e-mail to check availability. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
